Katherine Phillips

Consultant, Solar Initiatives & Special Projects

Katherine currently acts as a Development Consultant, managing Maryland-area, solar initiatives and related special projects for CSP’s in-house and advisory portfolio.  When she’s not consulting on solar projects, she is pursuing a lifelong dream of becoming a Labor & Delivery nurse and getting her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Maryland – Baltimore.

In her full-time capacity, Katherine previously acted as CSP’s Manager of Leasing and Community Partnerships, where she was responsible for facilitating leasing, public financing, and community partnership efforts across CSP’s portfolio, including projects in Baltimore and Cambridge, Maryland and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Prior to that, Katherine managed the Hoen Lithograph Campus, a $37MM 85,000 SF adaptive reuse project in the heart of East Baltimore. At Hoen, Katherine launched the CNI @ Hoen & Co, a shared work and event space designed for non-profit and service-providing organizations, and later facilitated a 35,000 SF lease to bring Morgan State University’s State Research Centers to the Midtown East community. She also managed the financing and installation of a 180 kW solar array at the project – which now powers the ABC Greater Baltimore Construction Training Academy.

A Baltimore native, Katherine holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban & Environmental Planning and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining CSP, Katherine worked for the Office of National Collections at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), where she worked on the promotional efforts and fiscal management of eight charitable funds. Katherine is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Creative Alliance, and the University of Virginia Alumni Association.
