Basil Ali

Superintendent

As superintendent in the construction division,  Basil Ali, partners closely with Project Managers to keep projects moving efficiently from preconstruction through completion. He oversees field operations, quality control, project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and job site safety, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Basil began his construction career with Allan Homes, a custom homebuilder in Columbia, Maryland, where he advanced from laborer to lead carpenter under the guidance of experienced craftsmen. He later joined TRA Construction, progressing from lead carpenter to Superintendent while building extensive experience in the restoration and preservation of Baltimore’s historic neighborhoods.

Throughout his career, Basil has worked on numerous projects governed by the Maryland Historic Trust (MHT) and the Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation (CHAP). His appreciation for historic buildings extends beyond construction—he views restoration as the art of preserving a community’s history while creating spaces that will serve future generations.

With a strong foundation in carpentry and finish work, Basil brings practical, hands-on knowledge to every project. Having spent years in the field, he understands how thoughtful planning, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving contribute to successful outcomes. He values open communication, strong relationships, and a collaborative jobsite culture, believing the best projects are built by teams that respect one another and enjoy working together.

Committed to lifelong learning, Basil is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management to further strengthen his technical and leadership skills. Outside of work, he enjoys playing football and tennis and performs as a musician at venues throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
