What About Mura Street?

When ReBUILD Metro hosted community meetings as a part of their continued transformation of Johnson Square, a group of dedicated neighbors reiterated “What about Mura Street?” The existing community had laid the groundwork – cleaning the street, planting the Mura Street Community Garden, and replacing boards on vacant rowhomes with colorful murals. In 2025, ReBUILD engaged CSP to assist the Project’s General Contractor, Clipper Construction,  in our Construction Management capacity. We entered a Joint Venture to manage the rehabilitation of 18 vacant rowhomes on the block. The renovation includes a full interior gut while retaining the original brick façades – honoring the historic character of the neighborhood while delivering best-in-class, modern homes.

The project’s 2 twin units, offer flexible 3-to-4-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom layouts. The single-family rowhomes feature 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom layouts. Each residence includes a private, low-maintenance backyard with a concrete patio for everyday outdoor use. To further enhance functionality, the project includes the selective demolition of three units to create dedicated off-street parking for residents.
