405 E. Oliver Street is an 70,000 square foot artist’s studio building – housing more than 30 artists with studios on the 2nd and 3rd levels. The first floor is home to Station North Tool Library, an artist gallery and event space. Central Baltimore Partnership (CBP), owner of the building, has plans to expand the unused artists spaces and former residential units on the 3rd and 4th levels into additional artist/maker studios and creative use office spaces.

Built as a brewery in 1848, the building has been home to a variety of manufacturing companies for most of the 1900s. In 2002, the building was purchased by 3 Square Feet LLC – a small group of artists – and eventually to sold to the current owners, Central Baltimore Partnership and Ernst Valery, in March 2022.

405 E. Oliver serves as an anchor of the Greenmount West neighborhood, Station North Arts & Entertainment District and Baltimore City and has been a hub of artistic, community, and  social activity since opening its doors in February 2003.

In January 2023, Cross Street Partners assumed the role of property manager for this building.
