This comprehensive project entails the removal of the aging steam boiler and radiator heating system, which has long been inadequate for modern needs, and replacing it with a state-of-the-art Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating and air conditioning system. This updated system promises energy efficiency and more precise climate control throughout the building. In addition, various ventilation challenges will be addressed through the installation of several Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) units, ensuring improved air quality and comfort for all users of the space.
To protect the activities and resident companies that call Maryland Hall home, careful planning and phasing of the work will be employed, minimizing disruptions and allowing cultural programs to continue during the construction process.
