As Benefits & Payroll Specialist, Laura is responsible for the accurate and timely administration and processing of payroll and benefits for the Cross Street Partners Team. She ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations while providing excellent service to employees. She is dedicated to enhancing employee satisfaction and well-being. Laura goes above and beyond by managing and administering comprehensive employee benefits and retirement programs. This includes thorough research into healthcare plans, careful evaluation of wellness programs, and meticulous assessment of job positions for classification and salary requirements, all aimed at fostering a supportive and rewarding workplace. Laura is adept at streamlining processes for efficiency and looks forward to bringing us more into the digital age. Additionally, Laura keeps up with the ever-changing landscape around employment laws by participating in periodic professional development opportunities.

A native Baltimorean, Laura has several years of human resources experience, with deep experience in compliance, benefits, and payroll. Prior to joining Cross Street Partners, Laura worked for nearly 2 years as HR Manager at Elev8 Baltimore, a non-profit in Baltimore City focused on youth development. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR emphasis, from Notre Dame of Maryland University and currently holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Outside of work, she enjoys eating out with friends and Meetup groups, and enjoys live music and comedy.
