James Hewins

Owner's Representative

As Owners Representative at Cross Street partners, James directs and manages CSPs interest for both in-house and third-party construction projects. Mr. Hewins is currently working with the Penn Station renovation and is involved from the onset of the project through to delivery assisting with the construction of the design and construction processes, including oversight of budget, estimates, contracts, quality assurance, safety compliance, and commissioning/closeout. Working closely with the development teams, he provides development cost, phasing, and schedule analysis.

Prior to joining the CSP team, his experience includes a diverse background in the architectural, engineering and construction industry managing large-scale and mid-scale projects for large and small organizations. His experience spans government, education, and aviation for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse.

James has a Bachelor of Architectural with studies in Urban Planning from Howard University. As a design and construction management professional he has worked for some of the nation’s largest architectural firms, including AECOM, Parsons and Leo A. Daly as an Owners Representative/Project Manager, Area Manager, Site Representative and Assistant Project Manager.

James has more than 32 years of experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industry. He also enjoys mentoring youth as a mentor (Big) with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
