Superintendent
As construction superintendent at Cross Street Partners, Basil works closely with project managers to develop plans that ensure seamless progress on his jobsites. He oversees field operations and quality control, determines critical project paths, schedules subcontractors, and maintains job site safety standards. Basil is committed to keeping projects on schedule and within budget while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction throughout the construction process.
Basil began his construction career with Allan Homes, a custom home builder in Columbia, Maryland, founded more than 40 years ago. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, he progressed from laborer to lead carpenter, building a strong foundation in craftsmanship and construction management. He later joined TRA Construction, where he advanced from lead carpenter to Superintendent while gaining invaluable experience in restoration and preservation projects throughout Baltimore’s historic neighborhoods.
Throughout his career, Basil has worked extensively on MHT (Maryland Historic Trust) and CHAP (Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation) projects, developing a deep appreciation for historic buildings and viewing restoration as a poetic art form. With a strong background in carpentry and finish work, he brings practical field experience and perspective to construction management. Having spent countless hours on jobsites, Basil has the foresight to proactively position projects for success. He values strong relationships, clear communication, and positive team morale, believing the best work is achieved through collaboration and environments where teams enjoy working together.
Basil is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in construction management and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth. Outside of work, he enjoys playing football and tennis and performs his music at venues throughout the DMV region.
