Mr. Summers, a guru at public and private structured financing, leads the real estate finance and tax team as well as directing all New Market and Historic Tax Credit consulting.
Mr. Summers is well known for his extensive experience structuring and closing tax credit financed real estate projects, with more than 25 years of financial consulting and capital placement experience. He solicits investors and negotiates terms and agreements for Federal and State Tax Credits, based on maintaining tax credit investor relationships and current market knowledge.
Mr. Summers provides guidance to debt and equity providers and direction on Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and other public/private financing tools working with lenders and investors to identify investments for available capital resources and determines investment potential.
Mr. Summers oversees Urban Action Community Development (UACD), a national Community Development Entity (CDE) and affiliate of Cross Street Partners, where he directs the financial services and support for low-income communities where the neighborhood vision for economic transformation was stymied on a lack of access to adequately priced capital.
Mr. Summers has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore.
